Shoot Em’ Up

The Unity-made Game, “Shoot Em’ Up”, places the player within the center of 3 areas, a city, a maze and a forest. The player has the choice to use two major weapons; a rifle and a fireball. The areas are filled with humanoid enemies that will attack the player if they get too close. It is up to the Player to get rid of all the enemies without dying. The player will have no idea of their health or their stamina as it is disabled. The choice was meant to provide the Player with a better integration into the game. The game prototype was made to be a rough testing ground to see how Players would react to fantasy elements within a reality-based settings. The project was created to research the balance between the fictional and the real, as well as see how the Players decide their experience of the game, whether through gun-based violence or magical violence, and the emotions that arise as a result of their own choices and gameplay. Credits for assets used within the game belong to Beau Carnes, Gabriel Aguiar Productions and CGY
(Yemelyan K).
